Role: Lead Interaction Designer, collaborating closely with the Design Director to define the product vision, user experience, interaction patterns, and mobile interface.
Overview
GROW is a mobile app that helps parents support their child's early development through age-appropriate activities, developmental milestones, and practical parenting tips. The goal was to translate child development research into simple, engaging experiences that parents could use every day.
The Challenge
Many new parents lacked accessible guidance on early childhood development. This experience focused on making developmental information easy to understand and actionable, to encourage caregivers with different levels of digital literacy.
The Solution
We designed a personalized mobile experience centered around the child's age and developmental stage. The app combines guided activities, milestone tracking, a social timeline dashboard, and educational content in an approachable, playful, and visually engaging interface.

Design Approach
The interface uses bright color coding, large imagery, and simple navigation to reduce cognitive load. Rather than presenting development as a checklist, we designed the experience to celebrate progress through storytelling and memorable moments.
My Contribution
As Lead Interaction Designer, I partnered with the Design Director to shape the end-to-end user experience. I led interaction design, information architecture, user flows, and mobile UI patterns, ensuring the product balanced educational content with an engaging, intuitive experience for parents.
Outcome
GROW extended the Foundation's educational mission beyond the classroom by empowering caregivers with practical tools to support their children's development, transforming everyday interactions into opportunities for learning and growth. Shakira announced the work and impact during her tour.
